Characters that have appeared in the movies Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University, any sequels and related media such as books and comics. This is for all characters, regardless of whether they are good or bad, and regardless of how major or minor a role they play in the stories.

Monsters, Inc. employees[]

  • Henry J. Waternoose - Head of Monsters, Inc., an energy company that collects the screams of children as they sleep to help provide power for the monster world. Under pressure from the company board and an ongoing energy crisis, forms a partnership with Randall Boggs for an additional method of obtaining energy.
  • James P. "Sully" Sullivan - One of the top Scarers at Monsters, Inc. Discovers that laughter is more powerful than screams, leading to revolutionizing the energy business.
  • Mike Wazowski - Sully's best friend and Scare Coach. They met in college and were initially rivals. Described by Sully as not being scary at all, but made up for it by being fearless and inventive.
  • Randall Boggs - A long-time rival of Sully for the position of top Scarer. Frustrated at frequently being bested, develops a machine in secret for more efficient scream extraction.
  • Jeff Fungus - Randall's Scare Coach and assistant with developing the scream extraction machine.
  • Roz - No-nonsense secretary at Monsters, Inc., with very firm ideas regarding paperwork. Also works as the leader of the Child Detection Agency.
