LeFou is Gaston's sidekick in Beauty and the Beast. He is short, chubby, has a big nose, and is often mistreated by both Gaston and other characters, much like Mr. Smee in Peter Pan.

In the film, he typically agrees with whatever Gaston says and puts up with getting pushed around. He is the lead singer of the song "Gaston", and a supporting singer in its reprise and the climactic "Mob Song." During the attack on the Beast's Castle, he attacks Lumiere the candelabra, but is defeated by Cogsworth the clock. In the stage musical, his role is expanded. He is given more character development and is given another song, "Maison de Lunes," which he sings with Gaston and Monsieur D'Arque. In the musical, he is defeated by the Wardrobe. In both versions it is presumed that he survives the battle.
