Jafar's Snake Staff wields the power of hypnosis, and is used several times in the movie Aladdin. Jafar uses it to control the Sultan of Agrabah, in his attempt to force Princess Jasmine to marry him, thus making Jafar the Sultan. It is smashed by Aladdin after Jafar tries to kill him, but is reformed when Jafar wishes to become the most powerful sorcerer in the world, which gives it new powers.
