occupation CEO of scolex industries, CEO of mad, criminal mastermind was destroyed and destruction goal destroy inspector gadget and rule the world(still all damage failed) Dr. Claw a.k.a Sanford Scolex (played by Rupert Everett) is the main antagonist in the 1999 Disney live-action film Inspector Gadget. He tries to beat and kill Inspector Gadget. He has a pet cat called M.A.D. Cat. When Dr. Claw was happy, M.A.D Cat will purr and laugh. When Dr. Claw was angry, it would yowl and screech. Dr. Claw has his henchmen called Sikes and Kramer. At one point, he creates Robo-Gadget to terrorize Riverton and eventually destroy the town. He even kidnaps Brenda Bradford, the daughter of the man he killed. He is defeated when he is sent to jail. He was in also in the Inspector Gadget animated TV Series. In Inspector Gadget 2, Dr. Claw has Brick, The Ninja and Jungle Bob.
- Dr. Claw was mad at Inspector Gadget before M.A.D. Cat was nice when he started to complain to each other. He is the second live-action Disney villain who has bad attitude.
- Unlike his cartoon counterpart, Dr. Claw was fully seen, although in his first appearance in the film, his right arm was seen. He was partially shown in the sequel. He even used the catchphrase "I'll get you next time, Gadget!"
